I'm sitting on the floor in my living room. My roommate is sleeping on the couch behind me. There must be someone (I get the feeling it is a man) on the other couch because I rarely ever sit on the floor in my own place. When my roommate wakes up, her shirt is disheveled and she is surprised to see some guy sitting in our apartment.
The next thing I know I am driving what appears to be my car (based on the dashboard lights and layout) close to campus. I begin to text someone on my phone. When I look up, I am so close to a white truck involved in an accident I must slam on my brakes to keep from rear-ending it. I stop literally centimeters from the trailer hitch on the back of the truck...so close, in fact, that I have to put my car in reverse to get around the truck.
As I'm passing the truck and the other dark colored car it struck, I must blow a fuse in my car because my dash lights go out.
I do not recognize the road I am on but I am driving east now (the street I was on before is a one-way heading west). I begin to cross over a bridge and can see clearly to the very bottom of the gorge over which I am traveling. Although the scenery catches my attention, I look up at the sky. While I am sure this is my car, I can see the evening sky clearly -- perhaps I finally got the t-tops I've been lusting after. As I'm looking up, my seat begins to recline and I am resting comfortably in my car. I am still accelerating though!
My phone vibrates on the table next to me and I mistake the sound as the sound of my tires crossing over the rumble strips on the side of the road. Despite hearing this sound and realizing I am driving off the road, I still do not sit/wake up immediately.
